Develop mechanical equipment from layout to manufacturing drawings. Work with production and project teams to resolve design issues and improve how equipment is built.
What you’ll work on
Create SolidWorks models, assemblies and detailed drawings; prepare AutoCAD layouts and bills of materials. Check loads, stresses, deflection and component selection. Document assumptions and arrange specialist review where needed. Specify materials, tolerances, welds and interfaces for fabrication, machining and assembly. Resolve fit-up and installation issues, control revisions and support design reviews.
What you’ll bring
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with practical machinery or fabricated-equipment design experience. Confident use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, supported by examples of drawings and assemblies. Understanding of strength calculations, GD&T, fabrication, machining and mechanical components. Experience with lifting equipment, hydraulic mechanisms or material handling is useful. Factory and site visits may be required. We are prioritising experienced candidates who can take ownership of their work. Junior applicants with relevant projects or practical experience are also welcome; responsibilities will reflect experience.
